Landowner Guidance is a public information resource for people who own or manage rural property in the United States.
Why it exists
Useful information about wells, septic systems, water, wildfire preparation, woodland, roads, culverts, and other rural-property responsibilities is often spread across agency websites, regulations, permit pages, manuals, and PDFs. This project organizes approved propositions so ordinary questions can be answered without stripping away their source or applicability.
The knowledge base is the primary asset
The public website is one consumer of a structured knowledge base. That separation lets the research, evidence, review, versioning, and source-change workflow remain independent from webpage presentation.
Coverage is deliberately selective
The goal is not to publish every possible state-and-topic combination. New pages should exist when the approved knowledge adds meaningful practical information.
